It can work. Tauruses are hard-headed let me WARN you now! Surely, no one's perfect but we can be judgmental too. But sweet, caring, and thoughtful as well as considerate should be our middle name. Or at least one of them!
You are like our opposite (not on the chart, yours is actually Gemini) but we are slow to think and kinda lazy and not that outgoing usually. You on the other hand like to be spontaneous, are probably mostly outgoing and talkative yet may be a bit restless, indecisive and changeable.
The main thing that these two signs do have in common is their stubbornness. THAT will have to be worked on.
And if he's seeing someone else, then that can't be good! But if you want this to work let him know where you stand (finally!).
edit: He wouldn't be happy about me saying this although he will never know, but i have a good friend who is your sign (Sag) and I'm a Taurus as you now know and we got along GREAT. Well, not in the beginning because we mostly argued and he swore WAY too much. But years down the road we just CLICKED. We would play VGs together and he would just come into my room unannounced and tell me what he was feeling; very honest, sincere but his tongue was SHARP. You guys are guilty of that attribute. ^-^
Anyway, we could have messed around, because I was bold (stepped out of my comfort zone) and invited him over with a few choice words online. He practically RAN down here (1500 or so feet) and when he got here I couldn't really move from the comp so nothing happened. Not even a kiss!
Anyway, you two are good when at your best and stubborn and a bit too different at your worst. Arguments WILL ensue cause none of you like to admit that you're wrong too often.
But like I said it CAN work.
