Ah. Venus child you are. Venus is goddess of Love. Normally Taurus people are all about love of finances where Libra is all about love of life. Both signs can achieve an equal balance in their financial and love affairs. Usually Taureans have a hard time achieving romance while Librans find it easy. Then Librans have a hard time achieving financial stability where Taureans find it easy. I read somewhere we have to focus more on one than the other in order to get what it is we want.
The majority of my friends taureans are pig headed or hard headed very sweet tooth like to eat a nice dishes and sweets.They are tight and sort of romantic too.They like to go the fun places and have a good time. Sigh. I personally do not like Tauruses. I did my own studies about the people around me and they seem to have the same personality.

I have been married to my husband 10 yrs and he is a

I'm a Taurus and I've never had any complaints and have been told that I'm quite romantic (and judging from the conversations I've had with a lot of other guys, I know I'm more romantic than most). I love to plan a romantic evening or getaway for me and my significant other, I love to give flowers (and shower her with gifts in general) and the Taurean's sense of touch lends well to a relaxing massage (as well as other things which I won't mention here).
As for a Taurus having a "stronger sense of love" than most males, they are supposed to be a good bit more nurturing than males of most signs, so that seems to agree with that.
As for Librans achieving romance easier, that might be true, but they seem to lose it just as easily. The Librans I know (work with three) are about the most unromantic bunch I've ever seen, and seem to lack any desire to be so with their significant others. A Taurus builds slowly (they are very cautious), but once it builds, he's much less likely to chance, and much less likely to let go.
It seems that you my friend would be best suited with a Cancer, or possibly a Pisces (though not a Scorpio, the other water sign, as their temper and desire to dominate will not go over well with you). I'd avoid air signs (problems with commitment) and fire signs (Leos create a power struggle of sorts, Aries make great friends, but are always on the move, while Sags...well...I won't get started on them). Other earth signs will generally be a good match, although I find them to be rather less emotional than Taurus, unless they have a Cancer or Pisces moon. Take all of this with a grain of salt though, as my Cancer moon makes me quite a bit more emotional, and obviously partial to the more sensitive water signs. I do think that Cancer is the best match for Taurus though, provided the Taurus takes the time to understand the emotional sensitive nature of the Cancer (and makes themself emotionally available to them, even when they don't necessarily get it).
Taurus men are romantic in an understated kind of way. They may not bring home a dozen red roses, but they will fix your car so you'll be safe.
