I am an Earth sign, I am a Taurus also fixed sign like you and I also feel closer to the Water signs, I have lot of Scorpio friends. Water and Earth makes mud which is fortifying I read that somewhere. I believe Water and Earth signs compliment each other in some way and the fact we are opposite in the horoscope always drive us to extreme feelings, always being great together Water and Earth or could not be worsth when thigs go wrong but finally we find a way to compromsie because we are respetful.
I think you feel closer to the Earth because actually in terms of characteristics there is some similarity with the Water signs, like deep emotionality, always caring for who is honest, fair, always following some moral values and requiring loyalty from the others.
I also do not feel so much like an Earth sign tough I am one because I am more like a dreamer and I am not down to the earth, I am not pragmatic or flight but yes I am very stubbron which is true about me.
Being a Scorpio I believe you are probably trust worth person, because all the people from this sign I know keep a secret and would not misuse with the trust. Even if they argue with the person, they will still keep his/her secret, they might sting, they might be harsh, they might be rude but they will never disclose a secret they know or use the information which i think is really a quality for respect. They are also very loyal and fair people and of course they can be real nice and supportive if you catch them on the right moment. And they are aloof but in the same time they can show you they care.
