Spirituality, Coincidence, and Probablity. this atheist got tripped out last nig!

Question: So last night We're all really messed up in a hot tub and this buddy of mine from Iran (who doesn't speak very good at all) is staring right at me in an inebriated state.

i snap my fingers and ask him why he is looking at me and he jerks out of his trance and says, "I see a white horse." that is my chinese zodiac sign (not only am i a horse, but i am a white horse). i asked my buddy if he knows the different chinese zodiac signs...he doesn't. so for him to randomly say that seems really weird to me.

that is weird and trippy and i don't get it. what do you think of this? just random coincidence?

Well, depending on what it was that you were on...some drugs (in moderation) can help to lift the veils between our world and spirit.

If I've said it once, I've said it 100 times, there's no such thing as coincidence. Coincidence is the name that people give to synchronicity when they're unwilling or unable to look at circumstances from a different perspective and allow that there may be a possiblility that our lives are more than what we see here on this plane of existence. It's all in how much meaning you give to life, really. If you choose to believe that it's all just random, meaningless events...then fine, you've got yourself a coincidence. If you want to explore whether or not your life has a greater purpose in the grand scheme of things, then you start looking for the "coincidences", see them as sign posts along your path (as long as they feel all right...don't start following the "coincidences" that give you that sick feeling in the pit of your stomach). My take on it...basically, when you come across those events, and you're going to whether you believe in a God or Gods, or a divine being which does not answer to the name of God...doesn't matter what you call it, it's all the same thing, they're signs that you're going the right way. Because even if you don't believe in some form of supreme being which gave us life and of which we are a part, provided that that being exists, you're still a part of it, and you're still being led by it.

As far as your specific situaltion goes, maybe you were being shown that there is some sort of connection between us all that exists at a level which we're not normally aware of. Of course, whether or not you choose to recognize it as such is entirely your decision.

Trying not to be preachy, here, but the level on which you live your life is entirely of your own choosing, gotta stress that. So you can either laugh off the strange coincidence, or you can take it as meaning something and explore life from that angle, see if there's another level to existence that you've maybe been overlooking.

This doesn't neccessarily mean that there is a God...just means that there's more to this than most people like to recognize and appreciate.

I think you guys need to quit smoking that shi.t.

Just saying......lmfao.

Who said you could get messed up in a hot tub without me?

Do you, perhaps, *look* like a white horse?

Just sayin.

The mind is an amazing instrument. In this day and age we only can account for about 1 tenth of usefulness a genius uses a little more. I believe there was a time that we used more of our brains. The possibility of the abilities we all are capable of could astound you.

What restlessangel said is my belief also, although I could never had said it as well.

Nope, of all the random things he could have said, he says "I see a white horse." Coincidence? I think not.
