Have you ever dabbled in Mysticism or Magick?!!?!

Question: Ever tried to perform that magick spell that you just knew was gonna work? Or do you absolutely love studying astrology or the mystic? And if so, why? Then say what sign you are.

Most open and positively expressive is Best Answer!!!

Well I started out as a Catholic school girl and so when I saw Ceremonial Magick for the first time I realized that I had come full circle. So to speak :) My family has strong native traditions and so it was normal for me to get white willow bark instead of asprin. I never once questioned if it worked, just how.

After my saturn return (oh that gloriously explosive event) I stopped dabbling and started getting serious. I am a practicing Ceremonial Magickian, thelemite and alchemist. In order to do what I do well you have to incorporate a lot of arts in your practice - astrology, tarot and geomancy are all part of just good magickal due diligence. You divine if your magickal action is appropriate BEFORE you do it. Hence why tarot and I have become such good friends over the years. It has saved me from my lower self more times than I can count. I practice Theurgy ( magick to seek union with the divine) and have been known to slide into Thamaturgy ( material magick) if the need arises. I work with whatever entities or forces I need to balance my universe and spheres. I make no value judgements on Divine creation. I respect all paths to get to the center of the wheel.

Magick is causing change in conformity to your Will. If you don't know what that is then you need to go find that FIRST. I place no arbitrary color judgements on magick. When you do it long enough you figure out that it just doesn't work that way.

I am a Pisces on the cusp of Aries with a Taurus ascendant.

Hey pretty creoless! This is "true life". I never performed a magick spell or anything like that, but I am very interested in esoteric and mystikal subjects. Especially astrology, reiki healing etc. I am very spiritual and have an affinity with the supernatural, so it's only right I get involved with stuff like that.

I'm gemini as u know! holla

Edit; =), You're so sweet. I've been here, there, u know, everywhere... wanted to come back and talk to u baby.

me too, feel free to contact me... yup i sent u a message

I have practiced Wicca for a few years, but in casting a spell, it must be known that there is good and bad. If you cast a spell for bad to happen to another person expect that something three times worse may happen to you. Some call it Karma.

As a Scorpio, having a deep interest in the Occult and mysteries in general, would go without saying.

Will not admit to any 'love spells' that I may, or may not have conjured up!! As a Scorpio, you would also know that I don't "kiss and tell".

never done a spell or attempted to but wanted to a few times and it's probably good I never did I doubt it would have turned out good, ha!ha! I love palmistry and exploring the other side. It frightens and amuses me at the same time but welcome anything new I can learn. Don't know if this is exactly the info you were after, but anyway I'm scorpio birthday 10/31

As a practising pagan, there are many things I have "dabbled" in. I have studied astrology for more years than I care to contemplate. I also am quite adept at tarot cards (any cartomancy really) as well as runes and other techniques (such as Mayan castings and lithomancy).

Lunatic Aquarian (and loving it!!!)

PS: Chainlightning... you forgot my favourite! Phrenology. The art of telling things about someone from reading the bumps on their head! ROFLMAO

Well as for me, yes, I am interested in going into occult stuff. It is probably because of my Cancer moon, on the cusp of magic. :) I have been studying into Astrology, Vedic astrology, Numerology, and Tarrots the most and I just love the interesting things I find! After I am satisfied with those ( Which probably wont happen, since I find them so interesting ) I am going to go into more occult stuff. It's just very interesting, and sometimes can come to be true. I have never casted a spell or anything before, but I wouldn't be surprised if I attempted sometime in the near future ! :]

Oh I've done a little more than dabble in it. Magick works, and often relies on astrological knowledge. Sign: Scorpio.

For as long as I can remember, really. I'm not really sure where or how to start explaining it. I will say that I haven't done all that much with the Magick, it's a bit too ritual oriented for me. Not that I have anything against ritual, I just like to create my own. Other people's paths don't tend to work for me for very long. I'll check them out, and take what I can use, but ultimately, any kind of ritual ends up feeling too contrived and almost theatrical for me. I've been known to put a protection charm on a pendant or a crystal if I feel the need to, and I'll burn sage if I feel that the energy in my home needs a good cleaning, maybe I've lit a candle or two....but that's about as ritual as I get. I've read at least some on most mystical or occult topics, astrology seems to be the main point of interest for me, although there are others that I like, this is just what I'm driven to know more about. Why? There are several factors in my chart that could point to this. Water signs on the cusps of water houses are a start. Pisces on the cusp of the 8th in particular would be an indicator. But the big three in my chart that point to this IMO would be: Mercury in Scorpio conj. my I.C....I think that this placement in particular would point to why I tend to gravitate to astrology in particular, and also why I have such a hard time explaining why exactly I'm drawn to any of it at all. Astrology appeals to that subconscious urge (I.C.) that I have to probe as deep as I can mentally, you can dig and dig and dig and still find something else to look at, or a different way of looking at the same old things. I think it also appeals to the part of me which likes to observe and analyze people and circumstances, another by-product of this placement. And of course Mercury in Scorp is going to give me an interest in the occult. Numbers two and three go together. First the Sag sun: they're not lying when they call us seekers. We are seekers of truth. Secondly, when you put that Sag sun in a water house (a house which has Scorpio on the cusp), conj. Neptune, it sort of becomes blatantly obvious what it is that I am seeking the truth of. Having a 9th house Mars doesn't hurt either, I suppose. I wonder about my North Node conj. to the Galactic Center as well (actually the mid-point between the GC and 0 deg. Capricorn), but I really don't know all that much about that, so couldn't say for certain. Ultimately, I have a hard time pinning down one particular reason or another "why", but I suspect that with all of that 4th house/Scorp/Merc/Sag/Sun/Nep stuff going on, this is just where I feel at home.

yes, i tried casting spells, but none worked...however, once i bought willpower spell from a website n yes i felt its power in me. i do like astrology and i use it sometimes to analyse characters...but i stopped depending on horoscopes when i started going to psychics for consultation and when i figured out that tarot cards are more accurate.

i am a capricorn

ohh, i would always loved too!!! never really had the chance. always loved reading about paganism, the celts and black magic practiced all over the world.

the furthest ive exposed myself is to playing ouija board for several years, tho thats more of the supernatural, rather than magik and mysticism....

im a cancer. =)
