Without a doubt, it's Cancer. The Capricorn male is very similar to the Cancer woman in that he has a tough exterior and needs to trust a person explicitly before he will reveal the softer side of himself. Capricorn is very fixated on material gain, practicality, and security. Most of all, Capricorn male craves to be known....on a very deep level. This is something that he would never admitt, as he shows different sides of himself to different people depending on their ranking in his life. He's serious, raw, earthy, and yes, PRACTICAL. Cancer woman is deep, emotional, and intuitive....she senses what he needs and provides unconditional love, trust, and a tenacity to get to know the real him. What he is lacking, she provides....when she needs a push he is there to gently lift her. It is an AWESOME combination, bringing a magnetic attraction and a deep love and understanding of each other. Capricorn males ARE emotional creatures....it takes an emotional woman to unlock this trait, and Cancer is up for the task. Depends on what he wants, but I would say a Taurus... as it and Capricorn are both earth signs. I'm not sure a Cap would ever fully understand how a Cancer works.

This is because both are earthy sensual individuals from the same elemental family, who are able to relate to each other in terms of inner goals, drives and working mechanisms. They will have no problems communicating and understanding where each other is coming from, depsite other discordant influences from the charts.
Cap-Cancer is a match that has a push-pull effect. Opposite signs always reflect what is missing in the indivdual but is difficult to reconcile on a subconscious level, either because of denial or habitual repressed emotions/thinking. Cancerian woman may be too clingy, emotional and sensitive for the Cap man to handle, esp. if he is the type that does not gain access to the feeling realm too easily.
Caps generally dont wear their hearts on their sleeves...thats for the opposite sign of Cancer. However, this pairing could do him good as well, for without opening the door to the emotions, the Cap man would go through life being cut off from his feelings and emotionally cold/repressed.

Cancer is the polar opposite of Capricorn, so the attraction is obviously there...but there is a reason it is called polar opposites...they tend to have very little in common, now, it may work, it really depends on the Capricorn and the Cancer...Every Capricorn and Cancer I know can't stand each other!
