This is a tough question. We are independent by nature, but on the other hand, we place family and home above all else and it's what we strive for. Protection of the heart is second nature with us, but we strive for companionship and commitment. It's tough to let our guard down, but if we recognize it and work towards trusting someone, it will get easier.
When a Capricorn finds someone they can trust completely, it will happen in time (and it does take time, because proof of stability is what we need). It is possible for us to give ourselves completely.

Yes Just Me...Fear of getting hurt. We fear it even before we see the possibility of it happening. Because when we get hurt, it can take weeks, or months for us to get over it. We internalize.

It seems like you're having a really hard time with that guy, huh? my sister's a capricorn and in any sort of relationship (marriage, friendship, and her own family) she's always acting distant, doesn't like to talk much, etc. It's just their nature.
wow its just now i am starting to realize all of us capricorn's are much alike eh. But yeah in relationships i am the distant one sometime my significant other tends to make all the moves for a while, Hate to admit it but its true. So far no luck seems everyone gets bored of me before they even get to know me well enough to make a conclusion...But i am not lonely i rather like being left alone at times. Also gives me time to work on my music. Yes, this is true. But, just because I seem distant in a relationship doesn't mean I don't love them though. I'm just not very open with my feelings and never really show much love. I have a bf and I actually love him a lot, whether he knows it or not. Capricorns seem cold and distant to others, but they are actually very faithful and honest to their lovers. They are generally not very open in relationships because we tend to keep all these emotional stuff to ourselves. Anyone who wants to get to know us needs to really dig deep to find out more of us.
