Question: Looking for a professional perspective on whether or not a career in film is good for me.

Answers: Looking for a professional perspective on whether or not a career in film is good for me.

The info that would help to know whether this is a natural career choice for you would be in your birth chart (or natal chart) and certain things such as aspects to your Mid-Heaven (which represents career) and the sign on the cusp of your tenth house (career house) and if there are any planets in your tenth house.

For example if you have Neptune in your 10th house or aspecting your Mid-Heaven it can incline you to something in film because Neptune rules films among other things.
Or the Moon, if the Moon is in your 10th house, it's more likely that your profession will bring you before the public. There are lots of factors involved when determining the type(s) of career(s) that would be best for you.

What I have found is the younger people I have done charts for (under 22) are usually already on the career path that astrology says would suit them best as long as their parents haven't pushed them to do something else!

Here is a description by Bob Marks of Stephen King's chart:
The Rising Sign is Cancer and its ruler, the Moon is in the 5th House (creativity) in the Sign of Sagittarius (storytelling and publications). The Moon is also in Trine Aspect (luck) to the Mid-Heaven (career and the public image) meaning that he and his creations tend to come before the public. Mercury (communications) is also in aspect to the Mid-Heaven. Saturn (fear) and Pluto (death, the underworld, hidden things) are in his 1st House (personality. He was quoted as saying "I like to scare the hell out of people". Both Saturn and Pluto also aspect the Mid-Heaven, bringing this quality before the public as well. The Sun is Singleton. It is the only planet in an Earth Sign (practicality) and it draws the chart’s "energy" to the 3rd House (communications). To top it off, Sagittarius is the sign on the cusp (beginning) of the 6th House (work) and the ruler, Jupiter, is in his 5th House (creativity) linking work, storytelling, and creativity.
You would need to add your exact birth time and the city you were born in for us to look up your chart!

**OK, so I checked out your chart and there are lots of good things! You have Mercury trine to your Mid-Heaven and that is excellent for writing! You also have Uranus aspecting your MH and that leans more toward TV than films, maybe made for TV movies than you write and direct? One thing I am going to warn you about, don't get sucked into the "Hollywood" lifestyle! Drugs and drinking are terrible for you! (Uranus aspecting your Ascendant!) You also have this:
"Saturn Aspecting the Mid-Heaven: Is excellent for business, even the stressful aspects. After all, this is the planet of organization and practicality. Saturn also inclines to any profession requiring lots of hard work, attention to detail, and discipline." So that would be wonderful for the producing and directing side of things! Overall, I feel that it would be a wonderful career for you! Writing, directing, and producing are right up your alley! Both the Sun and Mercury are in your 5th house (creativity) so it's quite perfect. Your Pluto in the Second house (finances) is singleton and so is your Uranus in the 3rd house (communications) which aspects your Mid-heaven (remember the TV thing) so they draw a lot of the energy from your chart! This is all very good for your chosen path!

Baby, like I tell everyone, a person has to choose the career that makes them happy and that drives them to do their best. If you're happy doing what you're doing, you will find it a lot easier to get out of bed in the morning.

But they say Caps are great at careers such as Financial Analysts, Monetary Advisory, and so on. Caps are very driven.

But maybe one of the other signs in your chart is what drives you to do what you do. Like what is in your tenth house? Find out for me and add it to the details of this question. Promise, I'll get back to it. Have a good eve!
