Question: so confused. I am not sure when the chinese new year starts. Some websites say I am year of the horse, but some say I am year of the snake because of something to do with the start of the year for chinese wich is sometime february?

1977 was the year of the snake. Since Chinese new year's begins in February [2/7/78 to be exact] you would be considered year of the snake.
