Why is half the people on here from.... India?!
Question: When people from India come onto this certain section of yahoo! answers, it's because they believe in sidereal (vedic) astrology (I myself favor sidereal thinking it's more accurate).
They know a lot more about astrology then most western astrologers do. That's why they use terms like "Ketu" (meaning "lunar south mode") and "Rahu" (meaning "lunar north mode") for planetary positions in their astrology chart. And don't be surprised if you see "Amavasya" (meaning "New Moon Day") and other terms. In India, most times before hiring someone, they'll look at their natal chart to see how this individual's personality is. They also believe the rising sign shows a lot about you since it's your outer self.

I didn't really notice that HALF of the people on here were from India, but I did notice that alot of them are. I don't know.

Why not? I am sure they are not half of them. I am not. They have every right to ask and answer questions as much as everyone else. God made all of us. No one is better than anyone else. America gives us the freedom of speech and many other things.

Indian's have got more believe in Astrology than westerner's.
Because the Yahoo India horoscope section and Yahoo USA horoscope section are combined..for some reason.
So, the questions asked on yahoo india horoscopes appear in the yahoo usa horoscopes. and most westerners have no knowledge of vedic astrology.therefore they get dumb when compounded with those questions.
its better Yahoo! takes care to seperate the sections individually.its high time they did it!
Well, In india, they have the Vedic astrology, it's from thier religon and beliefs, so they always come to this section, becouse it's a part of thier life... thats why...
