this aquarius guy asked me out.
basically we had been getting to know eachother for a year.
we had an argument and he pushed me.
we didn't talk for the rest of the year.
the next year he pulled me aside and stood across from me and looked me in my eyes and said "I really like you but I was afraid you didn't like me anymore because of the fight. Will you go out with me?"
me-"I'm sorry but I can't go out with you. we can just be friends"
he just stood there and looked really hurt (kind of like puppy dog eyes) and I just kind of walked away (I know I shouldn't have done that).
anyway, when I see him around he looks at me like he wants to kill me and he's everyone's friend so that doesn't make any sense.

Aquarius is emotional aloof but that is just because they are very sensitive, unlike the cancers who shows emotion and thus be known as moody and emotional expressive, aquarius feeling is deep..and hard to arouse.
once they like you, they will really like you. The feeling is gonna be forever, it is very strong. so it is kinda hard for him to understand why people can easily letting go of feelings and reject people. Because they think that it is not easy to have feelings for people.once they start to have feeling, they will take it so so seriously....
But the mask that they has put on to protect themselves is what usually drives people away....i think only libra can understand them. After all they are best match. I'm a virgo, we are the most incompatible signs...
Well, some people say that most leo and aquarius relationships don't work.

I'm Aries. The ram. I would just go on to the next feeling a little disappointed. Aquarius, the ocean holds it's secrets down below. You need to talk to him and give him a reason or he might do something both of you will regret!
You sound like you feel guilty about not wanting to date him. He pushed you so you have every reason to make that choice so why form the question as if you did him wrong. I'm Aquarius myself and the guys may be a little different than the women of my sign but if I put my hands on a guy, I would feel extremely guilty. If they didn't want to be more than friends because of that I would also completely understand. I sure as hell wouldn't be mad at that person because I would blame myself. All in all, Aquarians don't like rejection which is why we rarely make the first move but we're also understanding if we do something wrong. I'm not sure what the deal is with your guy but I know that YOU shouldn't be feeling guilty or bad.
You did the correct thing ~but~ only in regards to being pushed. I'm a Sagittarius/Serpentarius who was with an Aquarius for almost 20 year's. Leo's are known for 'heart' so you even asking this question shows a little bit of guilt for walking away when he was hurt, - totally natural. My own incompatibilty with an Aquarius was evident, he honestly made a better friend, father, then someone in a relationship - we did MUCH better seperated on friend term, but what kept 'me' going back to him? - the puppy dog sad eyes.

An Aquarius guy asked me out before too. I rejected him kind of the same way but he got over it quickly. We aren't friends and he ignores me too. Maybe it's because he feels embarrassed after being rejected. Hey, Aquarius people are hard to understand, but that's just part of the fun, eventhough some people don't think so. ;]
You should go up and talk to him. Or you can IM, text him. Tell him why you guys couldn't be together and make it nice. Aquarius people don't hold grudges :]
I got rejected before too. Well, it's kind of hard to explain, but I kind of hated him too. I just feel like he embarrassed me. And hating him kind of helped me get over the pain. Well, since he's Cancer and me being Aquarius, it just doesn't go. :-/ Like I said, Aquarius people don't hold grudges and will get over it once you explained it clearly.
You did the right thing though. O, and don't force yourself to like him if you might think that would make him stop hating you. Because that might make him hate you more. Just talk to him and explain. :]
