What does the absence of a planet in my fifth house mean?!

Question: I have a Pisces in the 5th house but no planet. I do have a Jupiter in the 4th house in Aquarius. I am naturally inclined towards arts and sciences. I read 3 different newspapers a day and have read all classics (as long as they are in English)! But I was never a great student. My friends think I am super smart. I want to study further but wondering if I would be successful?

Because I haven't got your entire natal chart, there are pieces of information missing that are required for a more accurate explanation.

However, the 5th house deals with areas of romance and creativity in your life. In your case, Pisces rules the 5th house; which means that your creative tendencies are drawn to the mystical and you tend to place more emphasis on your gut-reactions rather than what you may see or hear. You may also feel the need to "leave your mark" by doing something charitable; but are not sure how to achieve this and may be anxious about how to accomplish something meaningful.

If there was a planet in your fifth house, it would give more information. For example, if you had (say) Uranus in your fifth house, you may do something 'off the wall' to raise awareness/money for a cause (ie sell dominoes for 10-cents each to raise money to rescue bears in China, and then make the world's longest domino toppling to enter the Guinness Book of Records).

Don't worry that there aren't any planets in your 5th house; you haven't been 'robbed'. The planets are never evenly distributed across all 12-houses.

The absence of a planet in a house may just mean you're not as busy in that house as you may be in other houses...but the affect of that house's sign (pisces on ur 5th) could be just as strong as if it had neptune there, but keep in mind the absence of a planet may just mean you're not that busy in ur 5th house, which stands for: recreation, fun, romance, sex, creativity, your kids.

You being a "great" student has ALL to do with your 3rd house and 9th house. Your third house is about how you learn and how you think, this is the indicator about how smart or productive you can be as a student. it's also for how you communicate, your environment/attitude at school - your ninth house has to do with "higher learning" meaning university and the levels above highschool (post-secondary), college degrees, academic awards, etc.

You success as a student in school depends on your 3rd and 9th houses.

Your 5th has to do with your creativity - so if you want to study to become an artist, this pisces in 5th house might help :)

You can email me and I can help you out further with this.

In addition to what has already been said, I would add that when you are looking at transits, you should look at Neptune and Jupiter (rulers of Pisces) for clues to how your 5th house is affected.

For example, if Pluto transits your natal Neptune or Jupiter, you might experience elimination and regeneration in your 5th house.
