What was the 60's and the 70's like becasue i was born in dec 1984?!

Question: Well Zac I was born in the Sixties and grew up in the 70s . Life was slower and I believe less stressful. Kids went out side and played in the streets with their friends, you did more family activities together. We didnt have playstations, computer games, and stuff like that. We made our own fun, and we had fun doing it too. I just had a great childhood with lots of friends and family around me. The simple things just made things better.

Well, before your tine their was Elvis and the flower power age of weed. In 84, Van halen came about. From that point till today in 2008, we have the economy to think of.

there was no such this as cable tv until like 75 i think, to change the tv you had to go up to the actual tv and turn the dials since there were no remote controls.

there were no microwaves.

no cell phones

no cordless phones

kids would never even dream of talking back to a teacher

parents actually had control of their kids and kids were afraid of them

going out rollerskating was a big thing on fri and sat night

disco was big in the 70's like the bee-gees

john travolta was the man

shows like welcome back kotter, happy days, laverne and shirley, the brady bunch were on

everyone wanted to look like farrah fawcett

kids actually went OUTSIDE to play, we rode bikes, skateboards, played hopscotch, hide and go seek, we had to make our own fun

times were just simplier than, we didnt have alot but still had fun, unlike today where kids have everything and still aren't happy

To answer your question would require writing a book... actually several... okay many. It would be extremely difficult to sum up two whole decades of time in this limited box at Yahoo Answers. You're also asking about two very busy, history-making decades. Someone is probably going to give me a thumbs down for not actually ANSWERING your question, but really, the answer is, you need to just read some books about the 60s and 70s if you are really interested in learning about the history and experience of that era.

** I just had to come back and add that I like Deanne's answer. Thumbs up, sister.

It was a lot of fun. It felt like more freedom and less worry than today. The music was the scene.

idk i was born 1994

I don't get it... What's this got to do with horoscopes?
