Saturn in Leo: 2005 -2007?!

Question: i know its in Virgo now but i'm very interested in how it affected you when it was in the sign of Leo?

Actually, you can also comment on the current Virgo as well especially if your sun is in Virgo, because i've noticed for the past few months or so Virgo people having a rough time.

I will be back to answer this one, but it's a loaded one for me, as the Saturn-Neptune oppo. was conj. my asc/desc....and aspecting other things as well, and was sort of working in tandem with some aspects from transiting Pluto as well. You could say it was a learning-intensive time for me.

Anyhow, it's late, and I'm tired, and therefore I'd only give some rambling answer that didn't really make any sense anyhow (kind of like this one's starting to turn out) and so I'll get back to you when I'm alert, okay:) I kind of need to sift through it first, too...

EDIT: All right, here we go. Good morning, O.o.:)

When Saturn was in Leo, it was mostly transiting my 12th, as my ascendant isn't until later in the sign. That was one of the easier parts of the transit, IMO. I got to explore a lot of programmed in garbage, but really didn't have to do a lot to change it. Still, my attitudes regarding all of it shifted, and so naturally I started to let go of it. The fun part started when Saturn crossed my ascendant, and then kept crossing my ascendant, all the while opposing transiting Neptune, which was obviously conj. my descendant at the time. My natal moon is conj. my desc. and natal Jupiter is conj. my moon, so really I've been working with the Neptune aspect for a really long time at this point, as the conjunctions are fairly loose, and therefore it takes a lot longer to get through them. At the time of opposing Saturn-Neptune, Pluto was (and still is, although it's moving away) conjunct my north node, which is trine my ascendant and trine natal mars in aries. My south node is (again loosely) conjunct natal Saturn in Cancer, so, I had a Saturn-Nep/Moon/Jupiter opposition, and a Pluto/N.N.-Saturn/S.N. opposition going on at the same time. And the trines, of course, so tr. Saturn/asc. trine tr. Pluto/N.N. trine Mars.

Long story short, when Saturn hit my ascendant, I was being challenged to release the patterns that I recognized as such while it was transiting my 12th. I had the energy to do it, and the oppotunities as well, but with Neptune involved (I'm Neptune influenced to begin with...natal Nep conj. Sun) I had to dig through a lot of illusion first to figure out how to get there. I took a few false paths along the way, too. Neptune being so strong for me, I was pretty much convinced that the illusion was reality, and that the reason that it wasn't working for me was that I was doing something wrong, rather than realizing that the situations I was putting myself in were wrong for me in the first place. Anyhow, it was quite a shock to the system, as I've stated in a response to another Q, I spent the first year of this transit crying. Every single day I'm pretty sure. I might have missed one or two, but I don't think so. I hear floods are fairly common with a Nep/Moon transit (and I can vouch for the validity of that...5 floods in my home in the span of 2 years, and leaky roof at work for the entirety of the transit)...but I don't know that they always come from the person experiencing the transit themselves. Anyhow, the further Saturn moved into my 1st, and the further Neptune moved away from my Moon, I became more able to spot what it was exactly that I needed to do (and more importantly to STOP doing) in order to preserve my sanity. I'm actually doing fairly well with Saturn in Virgo, it's just made me more dilligent in making sure that whatever it is that I'm doing, it's in my best interest. I'm not looking forward to Saturn passing over my 2nd house cusp, as I suspect that I'm going to need to deal with my finances, and I dislike dealing with that kind of thing. Well, I suppose I'll just have to enjoy it while I can.

EDIT: Yeah, the figuring out who was in my best interest was a big one for me, too, kind of...I've sort of always known who and what was in my best interest, but the things and people who weren't neccessarily healthy for me to be around were kind of hard for me to shake. And still are to a certain extent, but I'm really starting to get better at it, I think. I've had to.

And yes, my interest in Astrology definitely started coming back to me at that time as well. The last time was another Pluto transit along with Neptune (tr. Pluto conj. natal Sun/Nep) and I think there might have been some sort of Uranus transit at the time as well, but I can't remember for sure. I'm more engaged this time, though. It's mars (and saturn) I think.
