*You NEED to know the exact time you were born and place...
when you find out, go here..and get free birthchart......free...www.astralabe.com

your SUN sign is the position of the sun the exact minute you were born(date, month, year)
your MOON sign is where that sign was in relation to sun and moon etc.
YOUR RISING SIGN.....is shown on your birthchart......basically, it will give you more depth into your personality etc than your SUN sign......
you can be, for ex. ..a libra.....but if your rising sign is pisces.....you will be more moody than a normal libra....etc......
you need to really study more to follow this in depth......

Rising sign and degree is where the sun was in relationship to the horizon at the moment of birth, at the place of birth.... meaning the date, time and place of birth are the 3 necessary bits of info. needed.

There's no such thing as a setting sign... Is there?

The rising sign is the alignment the sun was in a zodiac sign at the exact time of your birth. The sun changes signs approximately every 2 hours. The sun goes thru the entire zodiac circle within an entire day.

This sign shows the way you are to the rest of the world. It's the personality most worn on your sleeve.

There's no such thing as a setting sign.

there is no such thing as a setting sign. There is a midheaven and that is the Midheaven: the cusp of the tenth house of the natal chart, and is one of the angles of a chart. It is found at the very top of the chart, and it is the most public point in our chart. It relates to our career or "life path" and suggests our social standing and reputation.

The Midheaven is one of the four angles of the chart. The other three are the Imum Coeli (IC - directly opposite the Midheaven), the Ascendant (ASC), and the Descendant (DSC).

The Midheaven represents our most visible achievements in the eyes of society, our public "face" (as opposed to our more personal "face" at the Ascendant), our accomplishments, and our overall sense of responsibility and standing in the world/society.

Your rising sign or ascendant is the sign that is the first on the horizon at the exact time (full date and place needed) You can get a free natal chart online which will tell you this.
