What exactly is an "airhead"?!
Question: I've heard like two ppl call geminis air heads...which I strongly disagree with, because we're ruled by mercury the planet of thought and communication.. but what is an airhead?

They call the air signs 'air-heads', basically because they are from that element - air.also because they tend to be less emotional and feel with their minds and less with their hearts.They can be unpredictable and eccentric which is not really easy for others.

Well...i'd say a person who acts b4 thinking (alot) Or who is so spontaneous, the act of thinking is not an option.
your head is filled with more air than brains , making you a ditz......or dizzy..(*not always a blonde either!!)
BECAUSE geminis are an air sign, this comment is made often....and gems live more in their brains than reality...going over and over a question or problem WAY too much.....they need to give their brains a rest ever now and then...

I would like to know too!!! Because I get called that, along with ditz, spacey, "cheerleader", "blonde" (even when I'm not a blond), and a lot of other stupid stuff.

I think their definition of "airhead" is someone who is stupid intellectually, doesn't think AT ALL, and talks like an "ditsy-cheerleader-blonde" (no offense to any of these, I've been called these!)
Those people who call people these names are the ones that are "airhead". Apparently, they have to put down others b/c they have nothing better to do and they are the ones that are not confident about themselves so they put down others.
I have never called Geminis "airheads." They are some of the most intellectual, smart, interesting, I love the way that they communicate and speak their mind (even though it may get them in trouble sometimes... haha) but they say what they think, they say what they feel, they sometimes talk to much...but I'll admit that I am JEALOUS of how they communicate so confidently. haha.

An airhead is a dumba**. This isn't very nice...I think some people say this because Geminis talk a lot, which can come off as gabby and maybe even a little 90210 at times. But what they might be missing is the fact that Geminis are actually naturally cerebral, bright, sharp, and intellectual individuals. HATERS!

I would disagree with calling a Gemini an air head as well. Flighty maybe, airhead definitely not.
An airhead is exactly that, someone whose head is filled with air and nothing else. Also refered to as a doughnut (nothing in the middle)

EDIT: Well then I will defend the Geminis as well. 90% of the Geminis that I know or have known have been anything BUT airheads. The other 10% are questionable, but it's clearly not a typical quality of Gemini, and anyhow, you wouldn't be looking at the sun sign per se to indicate air-headedness, you'd look to Mercury.
