Question: believing that one in every 12 people who have each sign: (Capricorn, then Aquarius, the Pisces, then Aries, Taurus, Gemini, Cancer, Leo, Virgo, Libra, Scorpio and Sagittarius) are exactly identical?
I mean. Saying that crap shows that you missed the whole point. Astrology is and has always been deeper than that! These people think sun signs ONLY, and not moon, ascendants and venus in sagittarius, neptune in cancer, etc, etc, etc.

I do think it's ridiculous but sadly we live in a society that believes that unless science proves it, it can't be true and we're crazy for believing it's true.

count me in!! you said it. i also would like to add that many people come into this section with the ridiculous mindset that astrology psychics know EVERYTHING......they just want to ridicule astrology......but the ridiculous ones are THEM because it shows their ignorance of how astrology psychics work. many post psychic questions without even putting their birth data!
ive seen ridiculous questions like "Psychics: where can i find my (blank)" or "Psychics, when will i get married".....you know, just a load of clap trap.... i thought everyone by now would know that no such psychics exist!

I would be the first to admit that my knowledge in that area is very limited. Linda Goodman "Sun Signs" is the only book I have read.
When you think about it though, isn't that how people view different beliefs as well? The Protestant misunderstands the Catholic faith-the Christians misunderstand the Buddhists-and so on...

If a person is ignorant of a subject does that mean they are "wrong" if they go to those categories and trying to learn things there? If I pretended that I knew allot about the subject then a complaint may be in order. If I admit that I am here to learn-does that mean I am not worthy to have an opinion or point of view?
As an educator I would not attack or rebuff persons trying to learn.

My interest was increased by a 17 year love relationship with a man also born July 20, 1949. To our surprise we discovered that the friendships we had made all had birthdays between July 19-23rd. That lead me to wonder if it was a coincidence or a matter of astrological compatibility?
If persons lacking complete knowledge are not welcome here then where should they go instead?
I just don't understand why those people waste our time and theirs even responding to our questions. I'm not saying you have to believe, but if you don't, go somewhere you do. I don't go to the major bible-thumping questions because I'm not that gung-ho into religion and I know that those people don't want to hear my opinions. I mean, they aren't converting us to their way of thinking, they're just ticking people off...they should really just share their opinions to people who actually care what they think. That's my opinion. And yes, there's a lot more to astrology than just your sun sign.
You said it! People just dont understand, it's like they dont think outside the box. People tend to be so close minded. I defintely belive in the signs and the universe's energy.

i agree with most of the previous answers: astrology is not to be taken "lightly" or "jokingly" yet so many "logical" people come here and say "well...that can't true, cuz it's not science". science is man-made so that is my arguement. why does it have to be science to be true? i will never understand it but great question. i think this should actually be the "Astrology" section, not "horoscope" section. that implies that those who come here are giving "horoscope" help when in fact they are giving "astrology" help.
there is so much to understand. been studying for 6 years and i don't even know everything yet lol. it is so fascinating and i hope people like you and the fellow answerers keep coming here to share their "real" knowlegde of astrology. maybe we can make this place much better for those who truly wish to learn about astrology.

truthfully i'm not into astrology like that.i know i'm a scorpio and that's enough.
astrology doesn't wake me in the morning in my right mind,nor does it give me a sense of security.only God's grace and mercy helps me make it through my day.
i can't flip through an astrology book and "look to the hill from which cometh my help",i go to the BIBLE.

Yeah I hate most of the q's here cause they only want to know about the sun not the rest of the charts..there are asteroids like chiron, ceres, juno in signs that have alot to do with it..and then theres all the aspects, houses & planets falling in the houses..and thats just your chart, then theres the synastry chart between you & your partner..very complicated!!
The original zodiac is now incorrect by several degrees, making all modern horoscopes incorrect, and yet people still seem to make them fit...
I understand astrology, and exactly how it works to fool those who want to believe in it.
