Erm...correction, Aquarius is Air, not Water.
The things that holds these 2 signs together is that both complement each other by providing what the other one lacks. Well I'll be honest, the overall consensus on the Leo, Aquarius relationship is that there's really no hope. It might be good for a fling or something but not for long term.
Personally, I think they work wonderfully together. I dated one for 2 years and our relationship was fun and exciting. There wasn't much passion I'll be honest, and he eventually cheated, but up until then it was great. I guess you just have to keep your Aquarius interested and still give them their space and independence.
Also, people go on about how Leo has to steer away from its individual needs and focus more on the greater good. And I agree... but what about Aquarius? Aquarius needs to learn to open up a little, get over their fear of sharing emotions, and put in the same amount to the relationship that Leo is putting in.
I'm currently pursuing yet another Aquarius and I've been walking on eggshells for a year now. We both like each other and thankfully I have A LOT of patience and I'm capable of keeping my distance and giving him his space... but it would be nice if Aquarius worked at it a little too! Everyone says be wary around Aquarius, it's on their terms, don't smother, but cmon! This should be a joint effort if we're both into each other.

For everyone's information. I am Aquarian myself. Most of things you have said, that is generally true about myself. Astrology's compatible profile is just basic overviews. It is just matter of commitment, after all it is what it is about. It really depends on sarcifices both side have to make. I am dating scorpio, it alway seem that i tend to be assertive about things, and i want to keep it interesting. If its boring, its same thing to me, even to aquarians. Remember, way they thinks, they dont want to be same, they want to be different, they changes, even if they have to change themselves, they will do it as long it promises them a interesting life. I cant tolerance with boring relationship, i dated one girl, suddenly lost interest. She got mad about it, but its just me.
Bottom line is, odd of getting aquarius if you are possessive, its pretty difficult. As long you dont try to press on aquarius about it, they are very careful about their emotion. They tend to ignore their emotion and dont talk about it.
