Need help understanding an Aquarius!?!
Question: I'm crazy for yet another Aquarius (tried with two, failed with two in the past... one was too emotionally heavy, the other cheated, so uncharacteristic of an Aquarius...) But anyway... I'm just wondering when you Aquarians are off in your spacey detached world, are you still thinking about us? We both really like each other but he's just really detached and never talks about his emotions and will call or talk or visit me once in a blue moon and that's it. I can understand independence... I'm a leo with an aquarius moon, I need my space too, but where do your emotions go?! Why don't you like to talk about them? Help Aquarians!

I totally agree with Melanie on emotions. Us Aquarians would make perfect Vulcans. There ya go - try to picture Mr. Spock relating emotionally let alone swooning over a loveer! Bwaaa haaaa haaaa!
We know where we are emotionally at all times, but we will die before we share our state of mind with anyone. Well, I share to some extent wiht my sister, but that's only because I trust her to the extent that I do. I will NOT share deep inner "secrets" (emotions) with anyone else however, because one day that other person might not be so close to me, and I would absolutely die if they would let the cat out of the bag that this Vulcan can "feel". I would die, I tell ya! How would I ever explain something like that - I appear cold and aloof, I want to maintain this outward appearance. Now if someone were to tell others that it is only a front!!! OMG! My world would come to a skreeching halt, and I would have to crawl into a hole and live like a hermit for the rest of my life, which I would be perfectly capable of doing if I should need to do!
We're weird. We like weird. Do not try to make us open up. We can't. We want to, but if we try, it sounds "fake" to us, so we stop. Anything we try to say from our heart has already been said by someone else, so we won't repeat it if it is not original. So we just don't have anything to say that's mushy or emotional.
If something does happen to come out, hold tightly and cherish it, because it was a real effort on his part. He said it once, which is probably enough to last his lifetime. We rarely repeat if we ever manage to say it! And if he manages to say it, you can rest assured that he is thinking about you when you are apart.

I'm an aquarius and I can deffinately relate to what you're talking about. I'm very emotionally detatched and have a tough exterior. Whenever I'm in a relationship I still need my independence, just like your aquarius guy does. We may hang out with you one day and not call the next. I wouldn't worry about it, we just like to have alone time to ourselves. However, we are very loyal critters. We do still think about our loved ones when we're off by ourselves and we wouldn't ever imagine cheating on them. As for our emotions, I actually have no idea where they are. I'm pretty much numb to all feelings and emotions. I think it comes natural to us, it's just how we're wired. We also don't like to talk about emotions because it drains us. We're much rather interested in intellectually stimulating conversations. Best of luck!

hi.i'm an aquarius and my b-friend is aquarius. i sometimes feel that he is very cold and detached. i'm very aware of it. so, what i do when that happens, is i tell him (in a cute way)that he seems cold and i make him say something warm to me. But i do it discretely and with some humor. I'm not too serious about it. The important thing is to make him aware that he is being cold but not make a big deal out of it. So, this is what i do.
Aquarius people have a good sense of humor, gentle, caring, not very sociable, prefer to be alone or with their closest friends, they choose their friends very carefully, like to receive compliments, calm, sincere and when they get angry they can be very dangerous. They do not like showing their emotions too much. They are very romantic, respectful, kind, sweet, trusting, faithful, loyal, loving, caring, charming, sexy, hot, attractive and handsome. i can understand why you don't really get us....often i don't even understand myself! as for the emotions thing...
i don't like to express my emotions for too many people, because i feel that it will sound fake, or someone will misinterpret it as some other emotion or feeling... we aquarians are ALWAYS thinking, and if he really likes you, he's probably thinking a lot about you, if i'm really into something, i ALWAYS think about it! i often think a lot about basically everything and then most of us put on a cool outer shell, so to speak, to "protect" ourselves. we are VERY independant, so if we are free from most ties, we feel more freely to express ourselves. sometimes we may have commitment issues, because we feel that once we start a particular lifestyle or job or something and we're in it for the long term, we become a certain person and everyone sees that person, but thats not really who we are on the inside, so we think carefully about longterm commitments because even when we want to we find it hard to open up, because we don't want to sound fake or repetative, and because we have built up this image of who we are, and its like our protective gate-we don't like to open the door because we'd have to let someone in to see all of us, and to really get to know us, if that makes sense.
BASICALLY: just leave him be and let him be a free person, and know he's thinking about you....because he is. when he really starts to trust you, he'll probably open up more(don't take offense-we just have to get to know someone really well before we completely open up)

Those emotions could stay inside the aquarian and it might just go away later (when they are preoccupied with some other thought) just some thoughts. The others have a better answer on this.
