Question: why do i struggle with the fact that he(pisces) is so disorganised. He is also reluctant to be organised by anyone. It makes getting ahead in life very difficult. however he can be very tidy in the house but only when it suits him. He is a law unto himself and there are times when i feel i really dont know him. He also finds telling the truth about the simplest things very hard, always vague! Is this typical pisces?

'They' will say it's a good match, yes...but sun signs don't account for everything. Often times on here, I see these questions about 'which sign is the best match for my sign' and as long as that's the only question, I stick to the basics. Feminine elements (water and earth) work well together, and masculine elements (fire and air) work well together. By that basic formula, Cancer and Pisces (two water signs) are generally compatible.

They have an innate ability to sense precisely what they could do to help a person, and they usually prefer to do it by surprise, without being asked or told...because they want others to know that they care.
There's no 'typical' Pisces when you're dealing with a ruling planet like Neptune. All of the water signs are like this. There's no 'typical' Cancer because it's ruled by the Moon (which changes signs/moods more quickly than any other so you can't really pin-point a Moon-ruled Sun personality). There's no 'typical' Scorpio either (although there are more qualities about this water sign that are more prevalent than the other water signs...like being mysterious and having sexual magnetism) because it's ruled by Pluto, who is ruler of all things buried, hidden, underground, and behind-the-scenes.
This is also because the element of water is ruled by emotions...and a lot of times people are not wearing their emotions on their sleeves. It's more common to keep them buried...or at least, contained. You may feel like you don't know your Pisces because he keeps his emotions locked up in his mind (a favorite emotional hiding place for the Pisces...who have their own little world on constant-play mode in their minds, and who enjoy retreating to that world daily for their own peace of mind).
As a Cancer, you may feel very emotionally in control, or at least emotionally available. You can probably sympathize with keeping your emotions bottled up, because it happens on occasion for very good reason...but on the whole, you probably let your feelings be known. Frustrating as it may seem to your Pisces, it's helpful to him to know what you feel.
As far as the skirting-around-truths goes...it's likely this has nothing to do with his sun sign...and if it does, it's because he has a frictional aspect from his sun to another planet. It's not typical of Pisces to be a liar (they're prone to embellishment if they don't have an answer for you, but they usually don't lie just to lie)...but it is a quality that makes sense with Neptune ruling his Sun anyway. Like I said, Neptune is all about being vague and difficult to know, understand, or pin-point. You might look to Neptune in his chart to see where it's located, which sign it's in, and what aspects it's making.

yes cancerian n pisces are very good match...i have experience this in reality...i am cancerian and my guy is pisces we get along so well, we have same habits and same ideas...the only thing is that we cancer need to cop up with pisces in the way of life so that we can be their best partner ...i also have struggle when i first started going out with him but now when i have come to know him well..i just act like he wants...ofcourse their are times when he acts so different where else i feel that i dont even know ....but thats how it is to live with pisces..Good luck:)

Typical Pisces you are a fantastic Match but he will only bring you down No offence also they are VERY disorgansied and that will eventually rub off on you.......
On the other hand your romantic connections will be great as a couple if you can accept his flaws.
It depends on the rising and moon signs too. Ive got scorpio rising which gives me determination. Pisces guys are so sweet and romantic and know how to pay attention...theyre studs...it could be worse...ive had boring ones before that dont compare to Pisces. i think cancer and pisces is not that compatible to be honest with you; they have no backbone. Drop him and find you a scorpio, taurus, or maybe capricorn those are your best matches. i've seen alot of cancer females with aquarian males work out too
If you have talked this over with him and in your words "he is also reluctant to be organized by anyone"; then you have 2 choices:
1. Accept him as he is and try to look the other way when he is in his sloppiest mode--by following him around and picking up after him.
2. Break up and seek a different partner because nagging him and getting angry will only break up the relationship as it wears all the love & warm, fuzzy feelings out of it.
