Why do people believe that Horoscopes &/or Zodiac Signs determine your future, p!
Question: Most times when I read my Horoscopes, it never matches my love life, personality, or future. & why do people believe that for example, an Aquarius might be compatible with a Scorpio or something?

When the descriptions are written, they are based on general personality traits and behaviors. When I say I am Taurus, people may think of a lot of good attributes:
loyal/faithful
hard-working
patient
and a few bad ones:
stubborn
jealous/possessive
bad temper
And these descriptions are right about me! Of course, some things vary to a greater/lesser degree. That definitely has to do with your past and present life. Other aspects of your chart like moon sign and rising sign plays an effect also. Not every Taurus behaves exactly the same; some are more that one trait than others (matter of fact, there are some Taureans I CANNOT stand to be around!) But if you meet someone deemed "incompatible" because of a birthdate, don't fret: the general implications of Taurus and all other signs maybe accurate, but we are all unique. It's all in fun :)
well the ones that are in magazines and stuff are very vague. it is interesting and it does match alot of people. its a very old study. you should also check you rising sign. it could be a closer match for you, it is for most people. but in my personal experience it does really describe my personality... i dont know about telling your future, but you should do some reasearch on it deffinately.

its from astrolgy. I belive the practice of astrolgy came from the persians(middle east, dark ages). They studeied the sky and noticed certain constelations.
alot of it(ie, lovelife) has been made up since..sometiesm its true, sometimes its a load of crap
only 10% of human beings are sane and apply their own minds the rest wait to use in the next unknown world thats why they believe like being akin to mad
Sometimes those things are right, I don't believe them word for word I just keep them in mind as I go through my day and life and see what parts are true.
Simple....people are too confused on how to run their own lives that they look for answers(even stupid ones) as some kind of manuel to life.
Ok Hon, I know you were being theoretical---but let me begin by saying that Scorpio is NOT compatible with Aquarius :)
The newspaper horoscopes are for entertainment only; I don't know of any worthwhile astrologer who would take them seriously. I also don't know of anyone who believe that they can predict the future employing astrology.
One CAN however gain deep insights into thmselves and others by having a detailed birth chart done. You are so much more than the sum of your sun sign, Hon. You have an ascendant, a moon sign, and all your planets, and that's just for starters. In order to have a detailed chart done, you must know your TIME as well as place of birth.
For instance, I am Pisces with Gemini ascending. At heart I am a Pisces, but I come across as a Gemini. It's all these variables that make one say, Pisces, different than another.
Astrology has helped me to understand WHY certain people act and feel the way they do...and helped me understand myself, too.

well first of all the horoscopes you see in magazines are very vague, once when I was bored I researched astrology and found out that there's more to astrology than what most people know. anyways, nobody really takes astrology completely seriously some just use it to give them an idea of what to do with their current situations.
