It is not "my" gut feeling, but the Bible prophecy program I listen to talks a lot about the war that kills 1/3 of mankind, as prophesied in Revleation Chapter 9, will most likely take place in 2008. It starts in the area of the Euphrates River which runs through Turkey, Syria and Iraq.
