From my experience from knowing Scorpios they have BIG personalities, however they can be secretive. It's hard to figure out their true feelings.
You shouldn't be afraid of them. Their just people. They can be very intuitive or so I read. That's why it may seem like they can see through you.
Just try and get to know one. Don't try and pretend to be something your not because they will I like you better if you are straight forward with them.
It might be hard to tell if they are in love with you because they are secretive but just be around them and you should be able to figure it out. If they were any signs that they loved you then it probably would be the same signs as anybody else who loves you.

I dont know what it is but I was in relationship for 9 yrs with scorpio and I believe they have a hard time letting their feelings show because they think they have to be perfect.
I was married to a Scorpio for 11 years... they are a bit introverted and secretive, very difficult to get thier feeling out and they don't care to be outgoing. They are home bodies for sure and like thier little routines. They also don't like that touchy feely feelings stuff. They go best with the more laid back quiet signs... (i.e Leo's stay clear! LOL). They are good folks and he was too but be sure you find a sign you are compatible with. Scorpios tend to go well with Capricorns.

there is no need to be scared of us... all you have to do is ask, and ask alot of questions and communicate what you think. it takes time to get to know a scorpio, we dont mean it, but we are cool people.
ive had a number of friends recently tell me that i ask a lot of questions. i had a heart to heart w a friend and he told me that i was a huge contradiction, that i was amazing, driven, and a conundrum... (i think that's all very scorpio like, i've told my scorpio friend the same thing) and i had no idea... also that i was guarded- that i filter everything through my head, before my heart, but i never thought that bc i always talk... just ask alot of questions and ask for clarification. scorpios are known for being deep- therefore it'll take time...
scorpio men are awesome, i know alot and they always end up being my longest lasting friends. they send out alot of intensity and matter of fact statements, but if you pretty much let it go and be nice to them, they will like you- their actually really friendly and open- it really doesnt "seem" that way.
