How can i learn and become a good astrologer?!
Question: Astrology intersests me a lot...I want to become a proffessional astrologer...but dont know how to go about it. I hv tried reading books based on it..but at some point cudnt understand the subject. If there is any astrologer in Yahoo answers..please tell me where can i learn it and how long does it take to learn. I am interseted in looking at people's horoscopes.

Astrology is quite an involved study.
Books are a good tool to have.
Learning astrology to the level of professional can take years.
There are many good sites on the web where one can go to learn more.
I have studied astrology 'lightly' for years and at first I was very overwhelmed. I decided to break it down into smaller pieces instead of trying to learn all of it all at once.
I started with my chart and read all about it in a book called 'A to Z Horoscope maker & delineator' by Llewellyn George. I skipped over the 'drawing' of the chart because it is easier to just have a chart made by looking up the information either in an ephemeris and putting the marks on the chart, or by having a website/program do it.
After absorbing what I could with that, I started to learn about each sign and what is represents as it's own with no planet or anything involved.
Then I learned the Planets, just like the signs, Planets for what they represent and their influences.
I found that the Planet that rules a Sign carries alot of similarities, as it should.
Then came the houses, and they too had thier connections to the signs and planets that ruled them.
I also found that as long as I did not pressure myself and continued to touch base now and then with the other part of astrology I had not yet reached fully, the learning became easier.

Well, I started many years ago and possess a 6th sense, lots of foresight & intuition.
Anybody can become an astrologer even if they just possess good memory and ability to analyze.I taught astrology to people with no insight, but had some intuition . The problem was to exercise that intuition so they could rely on it.
Practice and read this thread. You will pick up here and there. I did a lot of reading and practice over the years.
