I am born year of the rat. We are secretive and we hoard stuff. Sometimes I can't help but buy exactly 2 of the same thing, like a shirt....wear one and put the other one away for just in case. That's a rat thing. We look for secret routes...I like to take twist and turns away from the major traffic because I like being on streets that most people wouldn't think to take.
Yes, we rats can be calculating (only when we need to be), kind of mean, restless. But we are also charming, intelligent, affectionate, honest and passionate.

i was born in the year of the rat, as well as my best friend, we are both scorpios who are known not to be too outgoing, talkative nor social, but as a rat i am totally social, where ever i go, i am constantly talking to people... i know my neighbors, everyone at my work, so forth and everything about the people that they know as well... we are also known for our charm- yeah im f'in charming, and ambitious, at least your baby wont end up being a bum, if chinese astrology has anything to do w it! my friend and i both rats are both in business, which all that is just a coincidence, we were not led by our rat sign. you might see early on in your childs behavior, an entreprenuer/ business/ sales attitiude, my friend and i were constantly selling items door to door, setting up neighborhood booths in elementary school. we couldnt wait to be 16 to work...
as far as the cruelness, far from it, im definitely not cruel- personally. as for the rat, you maybe exchanging aggressiveness for cruelness. the rat is infamous for it's aggressiveness. which i am definitely aggressive, but if you see this in your child as it grows up, then dont punish it.... being aggressive is awesome, just do your child a favor and teach them to be ethical, wise and honest- so that their aggressiveness will be awesome for them as well. rats have bad sides too, so if you are mean to them they can use their aggressiveness, w/o tact and im sure there is more. also rats love their family and friends they are number one to the rat, they put these people on a pedestal and are crazy for them. i know i do, friends ive known forever, i still get excited and "aawww" when im w them, i cherish them and tell them all how i cant live without them, that or how i would give my left eye for them.
