I dun zodiac sign compatibilities should determine how you're friendships or relationships will last. I mean each zodiac sign has positive and negative traits making us all imperfect and at times difficult to get along with. By the way, I'm not saying astrology is false or anything of that relation cause I like to read about other zodiac signs myself.
As for you're question, I'd agree opposites attract because there are more rewards in the relationships overall ^^.

well hey by zodiac signs really your not compatible however they can really be attracted to eachother and actually work things out on the part you are not compatible on so actually anybody is compatible.. Well im a scorpio woman and my ex is a saggitarius and i was with him for two years we were so in love and all and i have never loved someone as much as him , we been split up for 9 months now turning december and the reason we split is because we would argue alot at the end and i was kinda jelous and he was a freedom lover like all saggitarius its hard for them to settle in the long run they love to rome... what i can tell you of a cancer man is they are very much homebodies and they love the home, family, they are loyal to the family and significant other,they can be jelous and posessive and extremely moody and have many mood swings, but they are very loving, caring, affectionate, nurturing and all that they want a family and all. So if the saggitarius is ready for a very commited sign then go for it !!!
Cancer is a cardinal water sign whereas Sagittarius is a mutable fire sign.There can be lot of attraction among the two.However it won't work in the long run.Sagittarius can get along well most with Aries,Pisces & Leo whereas Cancer can get along well most with Pisces,Scorpio & Leo.
