Question: Jupiter is the natural ruler of the 9th house, by detriment I suppose you are saying it is in the sign of Gemini on the 9th, Mercury there would be strong.
Jupiter, if it conjuncts mercury gives expansive ideas. It allows you to have abstract thought as well and work at several projects at once. Your interest in astrology and the types of questions you ask (very intellectual) would be a result of mercury in the 9th house.
