As for you ascendant being Scorpio, Taurus more than likely rules the 7th house (house of marriage/partners) therefore Taurus risings would be good, but with your Gemini sun you could be better off with someone that has a Taurus sun or moon because Taurus risings tend to be even more stubborn than the sun sign. With Taurus in that 7th house Taurus will be the best partner, regardless if it's their sun, moon or rising sign.
Although conventional astrology would put you with a Libra, Gemini, or an Aquarius, it is my experience that the sign that would offer you the most in relationships would be one that you do not have so much in common with.
Let me give you an example, if you get involved with another air sign, this is someone you have much in common with, and as such it would be like having dinner every night and it being a pot pie. It would become boring after awhile. However, if you got involved with a Capricorn or a Scorpio, you might find many things in the relationship that are rewarding and help sustain the relationship long term.
