Uhhh, if your sun is Aries and it apects a Gemini ascendant, thats a sextile (60 degrees) , not a trine (120 degrees).
Either way, both are considered benefic angles, especially so since Aries is the natural ruler the 1st house.
The only thing negative about many trines in a chart is that it allows things to come so easily to people that they can be lazy.
Technically a trine is supposed to be a good aspect.But depending on other aspects in a chart and how they aspect the planets involved in the trine, sometimes it can be too much of a good thing or not one at all.
So your Sun is in Aries, your Ascendant is Gemini.....What is your Moon, Venus and Mars?
