Does subtleness annoy you?!
Question: It annoys me alot. I'd rather have someone be direct with me and vice-versa then have to always read a person's very subtle "body language" and non-verbal cues. It just annoys me, I'd rather have someone directly tell me what they want or are thinking then me have to figure it out.
Does this have something to do with me being an air sign which is masculine and more expressive like fire, as opposed to a subtle water or earth sign? Or is this just something else?

Yes subtleness annoys me. I dont like hints. Especially, with dating if you like me, tell me. Its better than dropping small hints that I wont pick up and you end up upset. I'm a water sign, though. But, my rising sun is an air sign. So, maybe thats it. hmm...

I hate people who go around things and "literally" dances with words or is wish washy, trying to give hints. I LOVE honest direct people. Subtle people are scared of hurting anybody's feelings(which is a sweet thought) but me personally, I HATE IT with a passion!
im guessing you have a fire sign in mars, moon or ascendant.
thats not an air sign trait, its a fire sign trait.
I also hate it when people dont say what they mean and beat around the bush.

I also want clear, articulate, VERBAL communication! I am tactful and diplomatic but CLEAR!
I am truly frustrated by people who never actually answer a question with a "yes" or "no", or an "I think..." or "I want..."!
Are they trying to hide what they think and feel or do they NOT think or feel?
Sometimes people have to have the subtle signs----I agree w/ you too, I'd rather be direct, etc...but you simply must understand human nature, it's sometimes rather hard for people to be 'so forward'......just love them for who they are.

edit: I can be good friends with subtle, softer people though, even if they make me impatient (sometimes even angry) . of course I understand not everybody has to be "forward".

Why not tell me flat out? I won't bite or anything.
I can get hints (sometimes), but when someone doesn't make it clear what they want, I am completely lost.
I love when people are brave enough to be totally honest and direct with you. It shows me that they care enough to want to be on the same page as you, and it conveys confidence - which, I think is sexy. But, I won't kill me if they're a little subtle - they just need to help me understand the hints
On the other hand, I enjoy reading people from their actions and the looks on their faces. It's nice to get into someones head and see where they're coming from.

It doesn't annoy me in the slightest - but I'm a Libra with Gemini rising, Mercury in Libra, and a Grand Trine in Water. I don't find that Air signs in general dislike subtlety - and I have never thought of Earth signs as being particularly subtle, either. Aside from the Fire signs,Taurus and Capricorn are two of the least subtle signs I can imagine.
you're just being lazy. you don't want to work that hard on understanding someone else. Internet conversations have no "tone" you can't see if I'm smiling when I say something so you don't have to interpret how it's meant, all you have are the words in front of you to deal with. Subtleness is used by people that are deep, and is wasted on the shallow minded. Your NOT shallow, I've read your posts before, you're impatient, and you want things NOW! but you not shallow. Just in case your wondering, I'm a Leo, and thats a real fire sign.
