Is there anyway to find someone's rising sign without knowing what time they!

Question: just like you can with their moon sign?

Answers: just like you can with their moon sign?

There are a few ways to find out on this website http://www.librarising.com/astrology/fwa...

Try it out and see if it works, but it may not be reliable.

i don't know.... just look at them and make an educated guess...it is an first impression.

No theres no way without knowing...you can get a birth certificate at city hall if thats not possible...ask the parents what time of day were they born...was it morning or night? afternoon? then you can look at the rising signs of all the ones in either morning or night and see which ones fit you best. but without proper time, its nearly impossible.

also, what do people always say about you? what is the most common FIRST impression they have? I always have been told or at least thought of as a very intelligent girl, even though my grades didnt always show it, and very quiet and distant...(aquarius rising -sign of the genius)...

hope this helps.

If you don't know the exact time but know an approximate time, that would help. But since the Ascendent changes every 2 hours, there is no gaurantee that it will be accurate. Being in one sign for 2 hours means there are 12 different possibilities for the Rising everyday.

Hence in general, No...you can't find out the Ascendent if you don't have the exact birth time.

I don't know who told you that you could get a moon sign without having the time you were born beacause that's not true. To get a correct moon sign and rising sign you need to have the time of birth for both. Otherwise your not going to get a correct reading.

Yes by finding out there birth doctors name and getting the info from the birth doctor. I tried to find my birth time from my Mom but she was never consistent when I asked her! She obviously didn't think much of astrology except when it came to bingos!

you can use default 12 noon and birth chart will calculate their moon sign...

There are a few methods. One tougher than the other. They're called "rectifications"

The most preferred method is by using major events in one's life and look for the dates, the major aspects and locate those major placements/aspects' positions. Chances are that the rising or MC will be located there, depending on the event.

You should preferrably have at least 3 major events so the astrologer can cross-reference. The problem with this is, as a young adult you have few major events happened to you, and any astrologer will most likely refuse to rectify your chart to find out your rising sign.

Another method is by using your parents' "focal points" in their charts; sun, moon, north node, rising, MC. That requires your parents' charts, so you can't use it on someone you don't even know the parents of.

Another, less "accurate" method (depends on how you look at it) is by matching the placement of the planets in the *houses* to the person's behaviour and personality. This is a far easier method, but is less accurate in a way that they can only be as accurate as placing the objects in their rightful house, but there could still be a 30 minute span between that time and when any of the planets is in the wrong house.

But it gives you a good global oversight. The only problem with this is, even though you can use this on young adults as well as pensioners, even on children, this method requires just two things; an amazing insight in someone's personality (which a study of psychology can always help you with) and an above-average insight in Astrology. And it's a very controversial method.

That's probably why I prefer that method. :p
