Question: ... zodiac signs are linked to the constellations they derive their name from?
They are only named after those constellations 2000-3000 years ago because the constellations were in the right place at the right time - especially since scolars were already aware of the precession of the equinoxes around that time.
(Last time I checked Dublin wasn't a black pool... there just used to be a black pool near it when they gave it that name...)

because they dont uderstand how astrology works and the the position of planets at that particular time so they assume that they are linked to the constellations that they are named after
zodiac signs are about as accurate as my azz.
Don't ya love people who come into a topic just to be an ****! Now for your question well so you are saying that they are not liked to the constellations? I always thought they were because at that time of the year is when that constellation is in the sky? Hmmm I am not sure but then again I am no expert and made an assumption.
