There are computer programs which help you to make cards. I'm sorry I don't know what they are, but my aunt has made me some cute cards using them. If you don't want to try that, visit a craft store or a large store that sells craft materials. You can buy a heavy weight cardboard with a nice semi-matte or shiny finish. Pick out 2-3 colors that he likes and put them together. Then you can measure & cut out different sizes & layer one on top of the other to make a nice framed effect. If you have a printer or know someone who does, you can use your choice of script to say what you want to say. Print it out, cut to shape & glue it to the card. Say you want the card 5 inches by 7 inches, measure & cut that out in your choice of color. Then pick a color that goes well, measure & cut out say 4 inches by 6 inches. Inset the smaller paper on the larger one for the framed look.

Well it's easy. Here is 1 way to make a birthday card. Materials: construction paper, markers, magazine(optional),glue(optional).1. you fold the construction paper in half(make sure both sides are equal length.) 2. you write " Happy Birthday (his name) on the front cover. 3. On the inside, you write a comment about his birthday. For example: I wish you a happy birthday. yours truly... etc. 4.you decorate. be creative. Cut some birthday things you find in a magazine and glue them on on the card to make it more festive. You could also get glitter or stickers for more decoration. Good Luck.
