Just for fun, what is my past like and how could I tap into it?

Ah ha… In Latin it is nosce te ipsum – Know thyself.
It is very common that people tell you to forget the past and live for the future. The trouble is, forgetting the past leads to wasting time in present and the so-called future.

Internal.

If you understand where you’ve been, it is more likely that you not cover those tracks again, something like getting lost in the woods. Genetics encode all of your living experiences… all of it. You are your ancestor. Locked inside of you is a time machine, genetically encoded, DNA. Learn about who you are as a person. Pay attention to what it is you’re drawn towards, what it is you’re good at. Back track, find out about your past. Learning from the so called past and living in the past are two different thing. This is how you tap into the past – knowing yourself.

The past – we only understand that the past exist because we keep records of events in many different ways – if loose our records, there is no past.

The Future – the only reason our future exist is because we are able to imagine. If we lose our ability to imagine, then the future vanishes.

The only thing that we have is the NOW. Within the present, both the past and the future exist simultaneously. So if we follow the laws of progression… anything that we do now will become the past that will lead to the next step in our so-called future, all based in our actions in the now.

External.

If you’re speaking about time traveling… lets briefly examine this.

Time is man made… We created time, NOT the universe. The only thing that the universe knows is progression. Things are born, grow and die. This cycle cannot be determined by time. Daylight savings time is the more vivid evidence that humans created time. We can either turn it back or forward at our choosing.

To further examine external time manipulation do some research on “The Philadelphia Experiment. “ A 1943 Naval military experiment that went wrong. I am pretty sure the you will encounter other things about time travels… right now, nothing comes to mind.

To answer you question again – “what is my past like and how could I tap into it?”
Learning about yourself and your history is a direct tap into your past.

Why would you want to tap into your past? Do you mean, "past life"? If that's what you mean, why would you want to tap into that? You're living in the present, or at least that's the idea. Your best bet is to put the past in the past where it belongs, and begin to create a future from nothing.

Weren't you there?

Theorectically you would have to travel back in time, or escape from time itself and enter in through a dimensional portal.

The past is forever gone, the future still our own. Leave the past in the past & start a new beginning. Learn from your mistakes that were made in your past, & you'll have a far better tomorrow!
