Gemini's are typically indecisive, sometimes moody and can change at any moment because all Gemini's possess at least one other personality, sometimes two or three. Can be cynical and critical. They never sit still and always have something going on while doing two or three things at once, flighty and always changing.
On the good side they are very good conversationalists, love social situations and meeting different people, they seek mental stimulation either through learning or through meeting people and can often be seen as flirty because they just love chatting up with the opposite sex. Intelligent, generous and witty.
I love Gemini's though, maybe your ex gf's weren't just compatible with you. Try other air signs like you (Aquarius, Gemini and Libra are the air signs) or fire signs (Leo, Aries or Saggitarius). They will probably better understand you and be on your level.
From my experiences with Gemini girls, they are generally very bossy, very demanding and full of jealousy. If you treat them well, they treat you very well, but very high maintenance and needy.

maybe you tend to talk too much that you don't have a brake pedal and you just hit on them verbally, and maybe you're putting yourself to too many activities and they feel its a little awkward...

i just ended a drama-filled/tumultous 2 year relationship w/ gemini guy (i'm a virgo). when it was good, it was great. when it was bad...watch out! we had a hard time compromising -- i liked rituals and consistency...he was more a go with the flow/spontaneous person. i liked to save and be frugal with money...he spent like $ grew on trees. he was a big dreamer where I seemed to be more grounded in reality. these differences caused a LOT of turmoil for us and ultimately we couldn't overcome them. we also did the on/off again thing several times. what we had was like fire...we just kept gravitating back to one another. just this last incident, i couldn't get over...
