Astrology vs Religion? Let's see here.........?!
Question: I am sick of the people that come here and say Astrology is B.S. when there is more to support the effects it does have then any fictitious book about god! Is this not true? Think about it celestial bodies have effects on other celestial bodies do they not? Our moon effects the tides and it also effect peoples behaviour! This is proven. So why is it so hard to believe that from the time you are conceived through out your development that the way the universe is lining up might actually effect a persons chemical makeup?!? Please all these people put their faith in books that have never ever been proven to be accurate! I mean how do we know that the people who came up with the god THEORY didn't eat some bad food and have hallucinations. There is nothing to substantiate any god and I am sorry but the fact that we are here doesn't hold an ounce of water to prove anything.The only thing religion is good for is killing millions of people in the name of!!! Now that's a fact!

well you didn't have to go and write a whole dang story. if you don't believe in god...you don't have too.
i was told (over and over again) by my grandparents...that no one is truely happy until they recieve Jesus into their hearts. somewhat of me believes them, because they are my grandparents. i don't want to preach to you like they did to me.
just don't make any conclusions.
think. think about what happens after life? darkness? what do we feel? that can't be the end.
this is what makes me believe.
i believe astrology has effect on a person's character and that's mainly it. i don't see how it can predict the future or really influence how you feel (like where the sun and moon is right now) so I don't think astrology and religion should really mix.
i think following a religion is a positive thing just because it does make you feel at peace. Personally, I don't follow any particular religion but i have nothing against religious people as long as they respect the beliefs of others.
i think it would be hard for people who have been brought up in a religious family to let go of the bible, etc. so i think they just naturally have a lot of faith in it.
Agree religion is the reason for wars and killing people. Sure the moon has some influence on lots of things, but the stars lining up having an influence on our make up is just another theory. That I don't agree with.
I do think you believe in God , but in a lot looser and different way than traditional religions present God. There is a spiritual oneness factor, that hold the universe together somewhat, into an organic oneness. I developed my own Astrology System over 30 years, because I believed that there was no better spiritual tuning device available, than the Sun, Moon, and planets with their cycles. It was like connecting with the spiritual though nature, but nature on the largest scale. I am very critical of what I will accept as good enough, since I have push the edge all my life, paid the price many times by getting in trouble, but saved by being experienced at dealing with the edge often, from real bad harm. I am still pushing the edge spiritually, today, but I use my Astology System to keep my spiritual balance.
Believe nothing just because a so-called wise person said it.
Believe nothing just because a belief is generally held.
Believe nothing just because it is said in ancient books.
Believe nothing just because it is said to be of divine origin.
Believe nothing just because someone else believes it.
Believe only what you yourself test and judge to be true.
Nothing in life is to be feared, It is only to be understood.

One should read some real science about tides before making unvalidated claims. Lunar tides affecting people has not been proven.(1)
You are trying to make a fact out of astology against the "beliefs" of religion. The argument is pointless. Testing a belief is impossble. Testing a fact is possible.
I lean toward being an athiest but it's for the same reason why astrology is also not valid. Lack of evidence from both. Give us the links for the "facts" and let us examine. Blind belief is not needed.
You use the phrase "why is it so hard to believe", in your rant. Once again how does one test the belief? Is astrology factual and can be proved? Lack of evidence. First show that it works, THEN make the theories.
If true, then belief does not matter. Astrology can and has been tested. It fails to do better than chance. Ask if any of the "experts" that have put years or decades into it, if they are close to providing the proof.
Either astrology can be tested – so astrologers, please tell us how. (And so far it has failed all well designed tests.) Or it can’t be tested – so astrologers please tell us how its rules were derived and how you know it works.
Which is it? Because it can’t be both
