Do you have a Retrograde in your chart?!

Question: i looked at my chart today and never noticed that my mercury had an R next to the degrees.. well at least its only one.

How many R's do you have in your chart? or do you have a clean slate(none)

What planets, and how is it impacting you?

I have 4 Retrograde planets at my point of birth: Mercury, Saturn, Jupiter and North Node.

As such, I feel the Retrograde periods in those planets more than those who don't have them in the charts. Right now, it is the Mercury Retrograde period and I DO feel more disoriented than usual. There is certainly a lot of REs going on in my life right now - reevaluating, reassessing, reconsidering, reviewing, recharing.... you name it, I'm doing it! But this is also a good time to complete any half-done projects and tie up any loose ends along the way!

MINE is super clean except for venus having a big affect on my planets.

Retrograde planets have no discernible effect in natal charts, except when in transit to natal planets.

guess not...i see some conjunctions and squares etc...its complex....oh wait yes i do have four of them...

I have five retrograde planets in my chart!
Mercury
Saturn
Uranus
Neptune
Pluto
Either I'm really lucky or really unlucky, hard to tell.
Oh well life goes on.....................

Retrograde in the outer planets (Uranus, Neptune, Pluto) is not so much a big deal, unless of course one of those planets is rising, or involved in a major aspect with the inner planets (especially, sun, moon, Mercury, Venus, or Mars).

Retrograde Mercury could be a real headache (!), but if it's unaspected, or otherwise in an uneventful position, it's unlikely to be significantly tragic. Some people read a retrograde Mercury as an impairment to intellect, but I have *never* observed this as a consensus amongst those who have it. I'd be waaaaaaay more concerned about Mars retrograde in Cancer in the first house, for example, as having a negative effect on the way one thinks (re: emotional interference).

Mercury goes retrograde alot, it's often conjunct the sun, and despite the reading I've seen delivered for such a combination, an objective analysis usually reveals--not that much to worry about.

Man, there are some good astrology questions on here tonight, compared to what I usually see. Thanks for asking!

The general population has at least one in their chart. I have none. Also, people with many Rx's are thought to be considered special. And you need to consider what degree it is Rx in.
