As things stand, the fact that you're both on the cusps of water signs might actually do something to assist with compatibility. Or your suns could be forming a quincunx, which is a really uncomfortable aspect, which could be where your sense of "trouble" comes from.
But I know what you're saying, though. As a Sag myself, there have been a few times that I've been involved with Gemini that I've thought to myself, or even stated point blank "this is a really bad idea, and I really shouldn't be doing this". Of course, then I go ahead and do it anyway...
