Answers: No a pendulum can not tell you that. It is used for basic things as yes and no answers.
The best thing that you could do is seek a professional. Either someone with a psychology degree or either a qualified and I could not express the word qualified enough - hypnotherapist that specializes in repressed memories. It can be dealt with more effectively and safely with a qualified person with a degree (college) and you should rather prefer it to be than some one that dabbles or just thinks they might know the how to. I have seen in my own practice what can happen when they go to someone that is not qualified. Ohhh, this is a tough 1... I would've suggested putting this under mythology instead of horoscopes, but since it's here, I'll do the best I can...
I always figure the pendulum was more for spirits, not memories. Like trapping evil spirits, sensing a spirit in the room, things like that. Not many people use the pendulum for much more.
I hear it can be used over a blow, kind of like a witch's cauldron, ya know? To 'see things', but never to access a memory... Sorry.
Some herbs I believe can help with that, but I don't know which 1's or whether it'd black magic or not. So I think the best thing you can do is a little more research. Preferably looking at books instead of on the web.
