Are tarot card readings real or just conscience?

I'm not sure what the "or" means here...are you asking if when you use Tarot cards, the cards themselves are what is giving the reading, or if it's the reader?

IF that's your question, I would say it's sort of a combination of both. There are definitely people who have a natural abilities, whether you consider them "psychic" or just very intutive, and Tarot cards can be a wonderful tool (when used right!) that assists those persons in developing and utilizing their gift(s). When readings are done by someone who knows how to use the cards, they not only look at the meanings reflected by the cards that come up but also rely on their intuition to help guide them.

My mom had a reading years ago with a very skilled and intuitive Tarot reader, and she told my mom in addition to my son I would also have a girl in 2-3 years, and she would be very close to my mom. I had the girl, just as predicted, and we actually named her after my mother (middle name)! The cards won't tell you that; she used them for guidance then relied on her own intuition and combined them for a very powerful (and accurate!) reading. I use Tarot cards myself, both for personal use and sometimes to read for family and friends, and this is the best way to do readings because the cards are not going to give you pin-point accuracy on things, they are just tools to bring out the intuitive and spiritual nature in us all.
