I would say that if your Sun sign is Aries and your Moon sign is Balance, your perfect partner would be someone with Sun in Balance and Moon in Aries.
So, whatever your Sun or Moon sign is, your perfect parter should have his Sun in your Moon sign and his Moon in your Sun sign. Sun and Moon sign should be oposite signs: like Aries-Libra, Taurus-Scorpio, Gemini-Sagittaruis, Cancer-Capricorn etc.
Of course it would help if the Ascendent and other planets are also nicely combined. :)
But, at the end of the day, it depends on your personal will, if you conciously want a person with certain character, then your "astrologically ideal" partner might not be so ideal for you...
