If it's Platonic, how do you measure "faithfulness"? If it's Platonic, meaning no sex, how could you possibly "cheat"? If you have a relationship with someone and there's no sexual activity whatsoever, then even if you went out and had sex with someone else, the Platonic relationship would still be intact and unaffected. On the other hand, if you have sex with your partner and then go out and have sex with someone else entirely, then you might call that cheating and being unfaithful, right? So that answers your question.
