When did the last "all capricorn" planetary alignment occur?!

Question:

When did the last "all capricorn" planetary alignment occur?

And when, in the spawn of human history, could an individual have been born with all the planets set on a single sign.

Answers:

On February 5, 1962, all seven of the "traditional" planets aligned in Capricorn, all within a span of 17 degrees. This is in terms of the sidereal sign of Capricorn, the actual constellation that one would see visibly in the sky, and in accord with the traditional astrology as practiced in India even now. By "western" tropical astrology, which ignores the star positions, it would be called "Aquarius" ... it can be a shock to those who are not aware of the precession of the equinoxes, which amounts to a shift of 30 degrees in a span of about 2150 years. "Grand conjunctions" (of all seven visible "lights" in a short span) are not as rare as is oftem imagined, but very close ones, fitting within a single sign or constellation, are fairly rare. One with only 11º span occurred in Virgo on September 15, 1186. Dates of wider ones near the present are May 3, 2000 and September 9, 2040. These did not fit so neatly in a single sign.
