Conjuncting?!

Question:

Conjuncting?

im on astro.com and im at this part where you put in the DOB of you and your partner and he has his sun and venus in aquarius and i have my sun in sag and venus in capricorn...it says our sun conjuct venus? doesnt that mean ones sun is the same sign as the others venus...neither of ours is...am i missing something?

Answers:

In astrology, planets are considered "conjunct" if they are within a certain distance of each other, regardless of the sign or signs involved.

In synastry, planets are considered conjunct if they are within 5 degrees of each other. The two planets do not necessarily have to be in the same sign.

For instance, Person A's Venus at 28 degrees Leo would be conjunct Person B's Sun at 1 degree Virgo.

The same interpretation normally applies to this connection between two charts as to a conjunction of planets in the same sign.
