This has become such a famous contact between two charts since Linda Goodman identified it as a "soul mate" connection. It is meant to create an intense, fateful, inescapable bond.

Many astrologers believe, however, that it is rather overrated. Pluto is a very slow moving planet. An entire generation of individuals will have Pluto in one particualr sign. Consequently, a person born with Venus in Libra, for instance, will have this Venus/Pluto connection with countless individuals born during the 1970's.

I personally believe this connection is more significant when Venus and Pluto are personalised in the charts of the couple. For instance, if Person A is a Scorpio, Scorpio rising or has the Sun in the 8th house (thus making Pluto their planetary ruler) and Person B has the Sun in Libra, Libra rising or Sun in the 7th house (thus making Venus their planetary ruler), then having this Pluto/Venus connection would be far more significant and fateful.

However, there's no doubt that a tight Venus/Pluto conjunction between any two charts will have some significant effect. From my experience, when a Pluto connection between two charts is triggered into action, secrets are frequently exposed by one of the individuals.
