Does anyone know how you can go about studying astrology ?

My advice is to get the basics, and start studying it yourself.

First learn how to make a chart (you can get examples here http://www.astro.com and then find a tutorial there)

Then learn the general meanings (so *not* Sun in... [insert sign here], but the actual meanings) of each sign of the zodiac

The basics of what the sun, the moon, the rising and every planet means, so you can apply those to the signs

Then the basics of every house, then apply that to the planets as well, and apply the signs to those.


It might sound very confusing at first, so the easiest thing would be learn the typical characteristics of each sign, then learn to make charts, then each planet (and sun and moon and rising) and only THEN learn about the houses.

Make sure you completely understand one part before you go on to the next. And I would tell you go on the internet for tutorials, but sadly enough, whenever you ask for a "character description" of Scorpio, you always get the complete description of the SUN sign - so you have to learn how to spot the difference between sun sign and actual zodiac sign as well...

Apart from that, anything you want to know, you can find on the internet or in books - and funny as it might sound, I would suggest the book "Astrology for dummies" - that one, for as much as I can remember, actually makes a clear difference between zodiac signs and sun in the signs. And it gives you all the basics you need.

That's how I did it (apart from the book for dummies, I bought it afterwards and read it to see if they were giving out the right info...), and I've learned and understood a package that would take anyone else 20 years to learn, in less than 6 years. And I've been studying it for 8 years - nearly 9 - in total, now...
