Aquarian falling for a Sag man, but hessitant....?

So, I'm an Aquarian female who has fallen hard for a Sagittarius man. Only once before have I been w/ a Sag man and it was a total disaster. The new guy is wonderful and we connect on so many levels. We've been talking for about 1.5 yr but are separated by long distances, so have never pursued a true romance. I have an overwhelming draw to him though and can never seem to get him out of my mind, despite other relationships I've been having. We have a great time when we are actually together and open up a lot. We don't talk much on the phone, and sometimes there are strange silences when we're together, because I occasionally find myself dumbstruck around him. I get the feeling that although there is some real potential for the two of us to pursue a regular relationship, but wonder why sometimes we're both being guarded. Is it that our signs are typically aloof? I know we have great potential, so what are we scared of? I'm confused but hopeful. Any advice or insight?

Aquarian's and Sag's actually work really well together. Sag is a really adaptable sign....next to Aquarius they are *the* go 'with the flow' sign.

Both signs need more of an intellectual intimacy than an emotional intimacy. They need to feel that they can mentally connect to their partners. Are both signs 'aloof'? Aquarius can be called 'detached'. They are not as emotionally affected by their surrounding as, say, a water sign would be (Cancer, Scorpio, etc). Air signs (Aquarius being one of them) are true intellectuals. They need other signs than can keep up with their quick whit and intelligence. Sag (Fire sign)are similar. They like to know, they like to learn, they like to explorer and ask questions. They are very 'in the moment'.

One of the things Sagittarius and Aquarius' share is their broad minded approach to life. They both see the big picture first. Both signs are wanderers - very curious and very open exploring the world and the people they meet in it.

They can be a very good match...as long as Aquarius is given their emotional space and Sagittarius is mentally and spiritually stimulated by the relationship
