We can see that... but the question isn't as easy - or ignorant - as your suggestion, well, suggests.
the earliest signs of use of Astrology (which is the more official term of Starsigns/Horrorscopes as you like to call them - normal people call them horoscopes, but hey, to each their own) has so far been dated back to the Sumerians. Egypt had their own form of Astrology - the one we know now was also practiced by the Babylonians...
Now, whether all of the above is true or not, remains to be seen, but it's definitely not a recent discovery.
