It might not apply to every Cap, but I answered because your question applies to me also.
I'd have to say, it might be the situation one is in at the time, but my childhood lacked a "real" Father. I grew up with him, but eventually my Mom had split with him when I was a teen and I realized the problems I was brought up into once my Mom was the one who wanted to break up.
We all went into alot of Counseling over the years but wasn't helping him at all, and not that much for the rest of us. By not working things out, it has affected the rest of my life and I'm still being robbed of a normal life, and it being I withdraw from invitations out places, and I just keep to myself, pretty much. Hermit life.
I'm not miserable, but sure I'm denying myself a good life being the way I am now.
