Am I cursed financially with having Neptune in my second house?!

Question:

Am I cursed financially with having Neptune in my second house?

Everywhere I look it seems like they all say with that Neptune placement the subject can be unrealistic about money. But looking around, I found that Donald Trump has this placement as well... It just makes me wonder...

I totally agree with you, felicia0923. For some reason, many astrologers seem to struggle to find one nice thing to say about Neptune, and I've never understood this. In my experience, every planet/luminary has a light and dark side. Even Pluto, one of the most malefic of planets, can ultimately bring about positive change in a person's life, and in my opinion, Neptune is no where near as negative as Pluto.

There are, of course, negative possibilities of having Neptune (or any planet) in a particular house, and being unrealistic in relation to one's concept of money is one of the possibilities of having it placed in the 2nd house.

However, I personally find that a planet in the 2nd house indicates one of the major ways in which a person will earn money. Neptune rules, among other things, the ocean, places of confinement and isolation (eg hospitals, prisons, monasteries), nursing, drugs/medication, alcohol, chemicals, film making and photography. Therefore, a person with Neptune in the 2nd house is likely to earn money through one or more of these areas.

It's also worth pointing out that Neptune is the ruler of your Sun's house. Consequently, the condition and placement of Neptune in your chart is particularly significant for you. I would interpret Neptune's placement in your 2nd house, not only as an indication that money-related matters are extremely important to you, but as a sign of your potential to accumulate wealth, particularly from any Neptune related field. This is reinforced by the fact that your Neptune also makes a tight semisquare aspect with your Venus, the ruler of the 2nd house and money.
